In the age of social media, we are noticing an increase in teens experiencing depression and anxiety as a result of it’s use. What’s underneath is the desire to be perfect; to be depicted and perceived as curated as a branded social media post. Use of social media is one, of many, factors contributing to the teen mental health crisis. This workshop is intended to introduce the audience to the potential risk factors of social media use on adolescent development and supportive ways to communicate with your teen about social media use.
