Speaker Talk: The Role of Loved Ones in Disordered Eating

This presentation will focus on types of eating disorders, signs of disordered eating behavior, and methods for supporting a loved one with an eating disorder. It will explore triggering language around food/body as well as how to reframe that vernacular at home. It will also provide a personal inventory section so you can self-reflect on what behaviors you may have to change in your own life in order to provide the best support to your loved one. You will also gain an understanding of what higher levels of care look like for eating disorder support (from outpatient to residential).
